Chantal Bachelier-Moore
Chantal Bachelier-Moore is originally from London, but fell in love with the magic and majesty of the North Wales landscape, which she now calls home.
She picked up a crochet hook for the first time in 2024 and, for reasons she still doesn’t entirely understand, began creating her mischievous little creatures.
“Out of nowhere, I became completely obsessed with wool — and now drag my husband into wool shops wherever we go. When I look at wool, I don’t just see colour or texture; I see the little creature waiting to emerge from it. I never know who they’re going to be, or what they’ll look like, when I begin. They seem to take on a life of their own, guiding me as I create them. Then, once they’re finished, they tell me their names and their stories.
What I love most is the smiles and laughter they bring to the people who meet them at craft fairs and events, and the joy they give to those who adopt them.”
